Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Journey to the Blue Pearl

Our adventure begins in Tangier, where Europe and Africa converge. We will pick you up and drive straight into the beautiful, green Rif Mountains. Our destination is Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City. Upon arrival, you will have ample time to wander the serene blue streets, capture stunning photos, and savor a refreshing mint tea in the main square. Then, you will spend a relaxing night in a beautiful local riad.

Day 2

Roman Ruins and Royal Cities

After breakfast, we will leave the Blue Mountains behind and travel back in time. Our first stop is Volubilis, where you can explore the well-preserved ancient Roman ruins and stunning mosaic floors. Next, we will stop briefly in Meknes, another royal city, to admire its enormous historic gates. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Fes, the cultural heart of Morocco, where you will spend the night.

Day 3

Exploring the Ancient Fes Medina

Today, you will explore the ancient Fes medina. A friendly local guide will meet you and reveal the hidden secrets of the oldest medina in Morocco. You will walk through narrow, bustling alleys filled with the aromas of spices and the sounds of traditional craftsmen at work. You will visit famous colorful leather tanneries, old schools, and historic palaces. This authentic storytelling experience will make you feel as though you’ve stepped into a different century.

Day 4

Monkeys, Mountains, and the Sahara

Today, we begin our long journey south toward the Sahara Desert. First, we drive through Ifrane, a clean town reminiscent of Switzerland. Then, we stop in the cedar forests to watch wild monkeys play in the trees. As we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, the landscape changes, revealing the green palm trees of the Ziz Valley. By evening, we will reach the Merzouga Desert. There, you will ride a camel across golden dunes at sunset and arrive at our traditional desert camp in time for dinner, drum music, and a magical night under the stars.

Day 5

Golden Dunes and Giant Canyons

Be sure to wake up early and witness the incredible desert sunrise! After breakfast at the camp, we will leave the Sahara behind and stop at the traditional market town of Rissani. Then, we will drive to the towering Todra Gorges. This massive canyon has towering rock walls on both sides and is perfect for a peaceful walk alongside the river. In the afternoon, we will continue to the beautiful Dades Valley, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 6

Sand Castles and the Red City

Today is our last day. We will drive through the Valley of Roses to reach Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Today’s highlight is a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a giant clay city that has been used as a filming location for major movies like Gladiator. After exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will begin our drive over the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. We will enjoy the mountain breeze and the Berber villages before finally arriving in Marrakech, where your 6 days tour from Tangier will end.
