Day 1

Welcome to the White City

Our grand journey begins upon your arrival in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic hub. We will pick you up from the airport and take you to visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world. Its enormous minaret looks directly out over the Atlantic Ocean. After taking plenty of photos, you will be taken to your hotel to rest and prepare for the big adventure ahead.

Day 2
 

Coastal Walls and Capital Cities

After breakfast, we will travel along the coast to Rabat, the elegant capital city. There, you will see the beautiful Hassan Tower and the serene Oudayas Kasbah. Then, we will continue north to the charming, artistic town of Asilah. You will love strolling around its pristine white walls, which are adorned with vibrant murals created by artists from far and wide.

 
Day 3
 

Where the Mediterranean Meets the Rif

Today, we will follow the coastline to Tangier, a city that connects Africa and Europe. First, we will explore the incredible Cave of Hercules. Then, we will head inland toward the lush Rif Mountains. Our final destination is Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City. The drive is absolutely beautiful, and we will arrive just in time for a relaxing evening.

Lost in the Blue Pearl

Today, you have a full day to explore the magical blue alleys of Chefchaouen at your leisure. Every corner offers the perfect photo opportunity with its bright blue walls, colorful pots of flowers, and friendly local cats. Hike up to the Spanish Mosque for a bird’s-eye view of the entire town, or simply enjoy a cup of fresh mint tea in the lively main square, Outa el Hammam.

Roman Ruins and Royal Cities

We say goodbye to the Blue Mountains and head south toward Fez. On the way, we will stop at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. This amazing historical site is full of well-preserved mosaic floors. After exploring the ruins, we will continue to the old imperial city of Fes, where you will spend the night in a beautiful, boutique-style riad.

Exploring the Ancient Medina

After breakfast, a local expert guide will meet you to reveal the secrets of the Fes medina. This city is the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco. You will walk through the oldest university, see the famous colorful leather tanneries, and discover hidden palaces. It truly feels like walking through a living museum.

Monkeys, Mountains, and the Sahara

Today, we begin our long journey to the Sahara. We will drive through Ifrane, a town reminiscent of Switzerland, and stop in the Azrou cedar forest to observe wild monkeys playing in the trees. Then, we will continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and pass the beautiful palm trees of the Ziz Valley until we reach the golden dunes of Merzouga.

Desert Secrets and Gnaoua Beats

Today, we will explore the Merzouga region. First, we will visit a nomadic family and see their traditional tents before sharing a cup of tea with them. Then, we will drive to the village of Khamlia to experience the spiritual music of the Gnawa people. In the afternoon, we will leave our vehicle behind and ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will then sleep under the stars in a wonderful desert camp.

Fossil Towns and Giant Canyons

Wake up early and enjoy the stunning desert sunrise! After breakfast at the campsite, we will travel to Rissani to explore its traditional market. Then, we will pass through Erfoud, a town renowned for its fossil workshops. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Todra Gorges, where giant rock walls have formed a stunning canyon. We will end the day in the peaceful Dades Valley.

The Route of a Thousand Kasbahs

Today, we will travel along the famous Route of a Thousand Kasbahs. We will pass through the fragrant Valley of Roses and the lush palm groves of Skoura. Then, we will reach Ouarzazate and visit the spectacular Ait Benhaddou, a giant clay castle that has been used as a filming location for many famous movies. Finally, we will cross the impressive High Atlas Mountains to reach the vibrant city of Marrakech.

The Beating Heart of the Red City

A local guide will show you Marrakech’s highlights. You will learn about the rich history of the Bahia Palace and admire the impressive Koutoubia Mosque. You will also visit the serene Majorelle Garden, famous for its vibrant blue hues. The tour concludes in the famous Jemaa el Fna square, which is full of storytellers and musicians.

Today, we’re escaping the hustle and bustle of the city as we drive west to Essaouira, a peaceful coastal town. You might even see goats climbing argan trees along the way! Essaouira is renowned for its fresh ocean breeze, superb seafood, and stunning historic walls. You will have a relaxing afternoon to explore its small, white, and blue streets.

Ocean Vibes and Return to Marrakech

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning and pick up some local argan oil or wooden crafts in Essaouira. Take a stroll along the beach before we drive back to Marrakech in the afternoon. Enjoy your last night in the Red City with a nice dinner on a rooftop terrace.

Farewell to Morocco

Your two-week adventure in Morocco comes to an end today. Depending on your flight schedule, we will safely transfer you to Marrakech or Casablanca airport. You will leave with a camera full of stunning photos and a heart full of amazing memories!

Is there a lot of driving on this 14 days tour from Casablanca?

Since the tour covers the Blue Streets of Chefchaouen, the deep Sahara, and the Atlantic Coast, you can expect to drive 3-5 hours on travel days. However, we break up the journey with plenty of scenic stops, guided walking tours, and relaxing lunch breaks, so you never feel rushed!

Your large suitcases will be safely locked in our vehicle with the driver. You will only need to pack a small overnight backpack with your essentials for your magical night under the stars in the Merzouga Desert.

 

Not at all! Although your 14-day tour from Casablanca begins in the “White City,” the adventure concludes in Marrakech. On your last day, we provide flexible, complimentary airport transfers to either Marrakech Menara Airport or Casablanca Airport, depending on your flight schedule.
